KYT Helmet Size Chart
Every KYT helmet uses the same size scale, so once you know your head measurement you know your size for the KX-1 Race GP, TT-Revo, R2R, NZ-Race and Skyhawk. The difference between models is how many outer shell and EPS liner sizes each one uses, which affects how compact the helmet looks and feels on your head.
How to measure your head
- Use a soft tape measure (or a piece of string and a ruler).
- Wrap it around the widest part of your head: about 1 inch (2.5 cm) above your eyebrows and ears, and around the back of your head.
- Keep the tape level and snug, not tight. Measure two or three times and use the largest number.
- Match your measurement to the chart below.

Shell and EPS sizes by model
A helmet with more shell sizes can keep the outer shell closer to your head size, so smaller sizes don't sit in an oversized shell.

Checking the fit
- A new helmet should feel snug all around, with firm, even pressure on your cheeks and no pressure points on your forehead.
- With the strap fastened, the helmet should not roll forward or backward when you push on it, and your skin should move with it when you rotate it side to side.
- Cheek pads settle in with use, so a helmet that feels loose on day one will only get looser.
