NICOLÒ BULEGA IS THE 2026 WORLD SUPERBIKE CHAMPION

Nicolò Bulega is the 2026 World Superbike Champion. Our rider mathematically secured the World Championship title at the end of an unforgettable weekend at the Cremona Circuit, in front of his home crowd and after a season that calling extraordinary would almost be an understatement...

A second-place finish in Race 2 was all it took to mathematically secure the World Championship crown. It was a race approached with intelligence and determination, in which our Ducati rider was able to manage the advantage he had built throughout the season, eventually reaching the most prestigious milestone of his career.

Bulega’s success at Cremona writes a new page in the history of Italian motorcycle racing. He becomes the second Italian rider to win the Superbike World Championship, after Max Biaggi, and completes an extraordinary journey that began with his 2023 World Supersport Championship title. His coronation in the premier class comes at the end of a season in which Bulega has demonstrated speed, consistency and race management from one round to the next, building a significant lead in the standings and maintaining the championship lead until the title was mathematically secured. Even more special is the place chosen by destiny for this title triumph: Cremona, Italy, in front of thousands of fans who stood alongside Bulega during the most important moment of his career.

“I am World Champion and it’s incredible. This victory means several things to me. The Supersport title was also very important: I was coming from a really difficult period, and that success allowed me to start believing in myself again. When I arrived in Superbike, I knew it would be even more difficult, but I found a team that believed in me from the very first race and gave me everything I needed to get to this point. They understood that I still had something to give to motorcycle racing and helped me find my speed again. And not only in the paddock: they were also there for me outside of racing. When you are part of a team like this, everything becomes easier. Thank you to all the people who are close to me, to my team, to Ducati and to everyone who believed in me!”

For Bulega, this is the culmination of a journey of growth that has taken him from the junior categories to the very top of world motorcycle racing. After winning the Supersport title in 2023, the rider from Emilia-Romagna has now achieved the feat of also winning the WorldSBK title, becoming the first rider in history to be crowned World Champion in both WorldSSP and the premier class of production-based motorcycle racing. The celebrations in Cremona therefore represent not only the celebration of a title, but also the highest point of a journey built on talent, hard work and determination. The season, however, is not over yet. With the World Championship title already secured, Bulega will now have the opportunity to tackle the final races of the year knowing that he is the new World Superbike Champion.
