"After two crashes, both in the sprint and today, it's easy to feel unlucky. After yesterday, I was in a bit of pain and today I wasn't feeling 100% physically, and unfortunately we crashed on the first lap, and I did everything I could to escape. At the end of the day, we have to understand that today we were lucky, because I found myself in the middle of the track with the riders coming from behind and I wasn't touched by anyone, so the day could certainly have gone badly, and we have to be grateful for that. However, the weekend was positive for us, and even though we start with zero points, I feel more and more confident on the bike, so I can't wait to get to Barcelona and hope we can have a great weekend."

MOTO2 David Alonso, historic first victory for Colombia in Moto2™
|
David Alonso (CFMOTO Aspar Team) made Moto2™ history by becoming the first Colombian to win in the intermediate class. The CFMOTO Aspar Team rookie finished ahead of Diogo Moreira (Italtrans Racing Team) and championship leader Manuel Gonzalez (Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP) in the Michelin Hungarian Grand Prix at Balaton Park. Gonzalez extended his lead to 25 points over Aron Canet (Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP), who finished sixth today.
Early stages and a crash at the first corner saw Diogo Moreira (Italtrans Racing Team) make slight movement at the start, before being passed by Jake Dixon (Elf Marc VDS Racing Team) and Manuel Gonzalez (Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP). The Brazilian, however, overtook the Spaniard and moved behind Dixon, while Aron Canet (Fantic Racing Lino Sonego) finished fifth behind Adrian Huertas (Italtrans Racing Team). A first-turn crash involving Celestino Vietti (SUP Racing), Yuki Kunii (Idemitsu Honda Team Asia), Unai Orradre, Albert Arenas (ITALJET Gresini Moto2), and Darryn Binder (ITALJET Gresini Moto2).
On lap four, Dixon makes a mistake, and Moreira takes advantage, while Canet, Huertas, and Collin Veijer (Red Bull KTM Ajo) partially close the gap.
Moreira vs. Gonzalez. Manuel Gonzalez passes Dixon and sets off in pursuit of Moreira. Gonzalez and Dixon are separated by a second, while Dixon and Canet are separated by half a second. The second group, in addition to Canet, also includes Veijer, Huertas, and rookie David Alonso (CFMOTO Aspar Team). With seven laps to go, Gonzalez overtakes Moreira and takes the lead.
Spectacular race for David Alonso. With five laps to go, exiting Turn 4, Gonzalez takes a huge risk, and Moreira rejoins. Dixon also took advantage, but was soon overtaken by David Alonso.
With two laps to go, a demented Alonso overtook Moreira and on the final lap pulled off a stunning, seemingly impossible pass. In the final few meters, Alonso took his first Moto2™ victory: this was also Colombia's first win in the intermediate class. Second place went to Moreira ahead of Manuel Gonzalez.
In the top ten, Dixon placed fourth ahead of Veijer, Canet, Huertas, Filip Salač (Elf Marc VDS Racing Team), Daniel Holgado (CFMOTO Aspar Team), and Ivan Ortolá (QJMotor – Frinsa - MSI).

“What a race! At the end, the tires were worn, and it wasn't easy to maintain the pace. Alonso did well; he had something extra. The last lap was fantastic, we had fun: it would have been too risky to try to overtake. The important thing was to finish the race and get on the podium. We're staying focused with the goal of continuing like this every weekend.”

MOTO3 Quiles, sprint victory over Perrone at Balaton Park
|
Máximo Quiles (CFMOTO Aspar Team) took his second Moto3™ victory of the season at the end of a thrilling duel at Balaton Park in the Michelin Hungarian Grand Prix, where he and rookie Valentín Perrone (Red Bull KTM Tech3) were the protagonists: just 18 thousandths of a second separated the two at the checkered flag, while José Antonio Rueda (Red Bull KTM Ajo) remains at the top of the standings with a 69-point advantage over Ángel Piqueras (Frinsa - MT Helmets - MSI).
Early stages: Máximo Quiles (CFMOTO Aspar Team) started from pole position, and in the early stages, Valentín Perrone (Red Bull KTM Tech3), Ángel Piqueras (Frinsa - MT Helmets - MSI), Álvaro Carpe (Red Bull KTM Ajo), and David Muñoz (Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP) were right behind him, with José Antonio Rueda (Red Bull KTM Ajo) finishing eighth.
David Muñoz had a great pace and within a couple of laps, he closed in on Quiles. The leading group included eight riders, including Guido Pini (Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP) and Jacob Roulstone (Red Bull KTM Tech3).
Quiles's pace shifted . By mid-race, Quiles was on a great pace, opening up a gap of about half a second over Piqueras and Perrone, both of whom overtook Muñoz; Pini was pulling away from his pursuers, including Rueda.
Quiles, however, is caught by Piqueras, Perrone, and Muñoz. The Spanish rookie feels the pressure and makes a mistake at the final chicane, being passed by the other three, while Pini and Rueda also want to be in the mix. A
five-way battle for the win ensues. Pini is penalized for a long lap for exceeding track limits, but his race ends due to a crash. Perrone passes Quiles, but Muñoz, Piqueras, and Rueda are also on the lookout. Adrian Fernandez (Leopard Racing) is more than six seconds behind and leading the second group.
In the closing stages, only Quiles manages to keep pace with Perrone; he passes him on the final lap, but Perrone doesn't give up. Quiles defends strongly at the final corner and wins by just 18 thousandths: a truly thrilling finale.
In the top ten, Muñoz completes the podium ahead of Piqueras and Rueda, with Adrian Fernandez sixth ahead of teammate David Almansa (Leopard Racing). Also in the top ten are Joel Kelso (LEVELUP - MTA), Alvaro Carpe (Red Bull KTM Ajo) and Jacob Roulstone (Red Bull KTM Tech3).

“Once again, it wasn't the race we expected. Like in Austria, we missed a good start, compromising the rest of the race. We'll work to improve this aspect ahead of the next round in Barcelona.”
|
“It was a difficult race for me. The first laps were tricky because I had grip issues. As the laps went by, my feeling improved, which helped me make up ground on the riders ahead of me, overtaking them and taking seventh place overall.”
