  • Customers must follow all manufacturer safety instructions.

  • Helmets involved in crashes, collisions, or significant impacts should be removed from service and replaced.

Damage from an impact may not always be visible. Continued use of an impacted helmet may compromise its protective capabilities.

KYT Americas is not responsible for injuries resulting from:

  • Improper fit.

  • Misuse.

  • Improper maintenance.

  • Unauthorized modifications.

  • Improper accessory installation.

  • Failure to follow safety instructions.

6. Helmet Fit and Sizing Responsibility

However, helmet fit depends on individual head shape, personal preference, and proper adjustment.

Customers are responsible for confirming that a helmet fits correctly before use.

Incorrect sizing, personal fit preference, comfort concerns, helmet noise, ventilation preferences, aerodynamic characteristics, or dissatisfaction with the feel or performance of a helmet do not constitute manufacturing defects and are not covered under warranty.

Customers should not ride with a helmet that does not fit securely or properly.

Customers should not modify, alter, or customize helmets in any manner that may affect structural integrity, safety performance, or intended operation.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Drilling holes.

  • Cutting or altering helmet components.

  • Painting or refinishing.

  • Altering retention systems.

  • Installing unauthorized components.

KYT Americas is not responsible for damage resulting from:

  • Use of non-KYT parts.

  • Incorrect installation of visors, Pinlock® systems, communication devices, or other accessories.

Any modification or alteration that affects a helmet’s original design may void applicable warranty coverage.

8. Product Availability

KYT Americas currently sells products available for immediate fulfillment and does not accept backorders unless specifically stated at the time of purchase.

While we make reasonable efforts to maintain accurate inventory information, availability may change without notice.

KYT Americas reserves the right to:

  • Cancel unavailable items.

16. Lost, Damaged, or Delayed Shipments

Once an order has been transferred to the shipping carrier, KYT Americas is not responsible for delays, losses, theft, or damage caused by the carrier or events outside of KYT Americas’ reasonable control.

KYT Americas may assist customers with carrier claims; however, the outcome of any claim is determined by the shipping carrier and/or applicable shipping insurance provider.

If a carrier claim is denied, KYT Americas is not responsible for providing a replacement product, refund, or reimbursement unless required by applicable law.

KYT Americas is not responsible for packages that are confirmed as delivered by the shipping carrier but are subsequently lost, stolen, or misplaced after delivery.

  • Normal wear and tear, including deterioration or aging of interior fabrics, liners, padding, quilting, comfort materials, and other components resulting from normal product use.

  • Cosmetic damage occurring after purchase, including scratches, scuffs, chips, fading, discoloration, or appearance changes that do not affect product function or safety.

  • Fit preferences, sizing concerns, comfort issues, helmet noise, ventilation preferences, aerodynamic characteristics, or individual riding preferences.

  • Damage caused by improper cleaning, maintenance, storage, chemicals, solvents, paints, adhesives, or other substances that may affect helmet materials.

  • Unauthorized modifications, alterations, repairs, or disassembly.

  • Installation or use of non-KYT parts, accessories, communication systems, or other aftermarket products.

  • Improper installation, handling, or use of visors, Pinlock® systems, or accessories.

  • Damage occurring during shipping or return shipment due to improper packaging, handling, or failure to follow KYT Americas’ return instructions.

  • Products purchased from unauthorized sellers.

  • Products with removed, altered, or illegible serial numbers or identification markings.

Warranty coverage does not include reimbursement for labor costs, installation costs, inconvenience, loss of use, or other incidental expenses unless required by applicable law.

22. Accessories, Visors, and Replacement Components

KYT Americas offers replacement components and accessories designed for use with applicable KYT products.

Customers are responsible for proper installation, handling, cleaning, and maintenance of all accessories and replacement components.

Visors, Pinlock® systems, and accessories are subject to their applicable warranty periods and limitations as described in the KYT Americas Warranty Policy.

Warranty coverage does not apply to damage caused by:

  • Scratches or surface damage.

  • Improper cleaning methods.

  • Impact damage.

  • Forced installation.

  • Improper handling.

  • Use of non-approved accessories or components.

Visors and accessories may experience normal wear during use and may require replacement over time.
